A Thousand and One Orchids 2025: the floral exhibition in the large greenhouses of the Jardin des Plantes

From February 6 to March 10, 2025, the Mille et une Orchidées (A Thousand and One Orchids ) exhibition is once again calling on all flower lovers, and orchids in particular. Join us in the Grandes Serres of the Jardin des Plantes for an immersion into hundreds of flower varieties.

This 12th edition highlights the natural habitats and different environments in which orchids live, through photographic illustrations that take us on a journey from forest to savannah, via steppes and mountain meadows. Two special tours, by Christophe Duminil, head of the Senate orchid collection, and by the gardeners of the Grandes Serres and the Arboretum de Versailles-Chèvreloup, also await you.

Hundreds of corollas, magnified by passionate gardeners, await you in this tropical greenhouse built in the 1930s, featuring wild and horticultural species from the Arboretum.

The educational events are aimed at everyone, from experts to neophytes. It's an opportunity to discover original orchids, learn about their care, and even try your hand at repotting. An ephemeral sales area of 200 m2 also enables you to acquire superb orchid specimens.

Exhibitors include major players such as the City of Paris (Jardin botanique/Serres d'Auteuil), Orchidium, Vacherot & Lecoufle, and many others, all showcasing an impressive variety of orchids. This exhibition is an opportunity to arouse curiosity, learn and admire the beauty of these exceptional plants.
