Nestled in an impressive historic building of the 19th century by Gustave Eiffel, Barrio Latino closed to make way to Pachamama!
Recently taken over by Philippe Fatien, the club, restaurant and cocktail bar aims at reinventing the festive spirit. To do so, Pachamama called out Cyril Peret, art manager and creator of festive venues, to create a new identity and a new decorum. Accompanied by scenographer Ludovic Messager, the trio gave birth to Pachamama.
Behind this 3000-sqm venue, we discover an enchanting and hypnotizing décor drawing its inspiration from southern American regions.
And the magic happens from the street level with the Ballroom characterized by the Latino touch of the bar and its long clay counter.
On the first floor, you have La Cantina. To blow you away, the restaurant offers a view over the dancefloor while the secret dining room features pieces bargain-hunted in varied places.
To fulfill your taste buds, the chef offers a menu based on Latin American specialties. On the menu? Spicy corn cream, Peruvian ceviche, Nikkei tuna tataki, Jalapenos Poppers as well as Pluma Iberica, Spare Ribs marinated in spices, a beef Churrasco or a meat Parillada to share. For the sweet-toothed eaters, don’t resist and succumb to the chocolate churros.
To accompany the whole, Pachamama offers a lovely wine list based on French, Argentinian and Chilean crus.
For the nature aspect, head to the beautiful Patio lined with a spectacular plant wall. Covered in boards salvaged from former cattle cars in Brazil, lit with lamps from old merry-go-rounds, the Patio is the perfect place to have a seat and sip a drink.
You think that Pachamama couldn’t have any more secrets? Far from it, rush upstairs at the counter on the second floor to discover a magnificent bar with engravings and flower frescoes, barmen in special outfits as well as tequila-based cocktails and other magic potions to chill until late, the whole served with tapas: sea bream ceviche, guacamole and corn chips, jalapenos poppers and piccata milonga (shredded beef). Please note that the same menu is offered in the Ballroom.
Last but not least, on the 3rd and last floor, Pachamama unveils its Downtown smoking room where Chesterfield sofas and the large American pool table gladly welcomes guests.
