Hold on to your flutes - Maxim's, the legendary Parisian restaurant on Rue Royale, invites you to La Parenthèse Belle Époque, a chic and poetic ephemeral bar in collaboration with the House of Perrier-Jouët, to be discovered until the end of 2024. Join us on the private floors of this monument to gastronomy, in the mythical setting of its salons, where elegance and the art of living can be savoured in champagne as well as in artistic creations.
For the occasion, the Champagne House is unveiling a limited edition of its Blanc de Blancs, alongside its emblematic cuvées. But here, the choice of glass is no trivial matter: in accordance with the rules of the art, the tasting begins with the selection of a glass from the Art Nouveau collection, specially created for the address. Among this glassware, nine unique pieces, signed by renowned glassmakers, will be on exclusive display. A feast for the eyes, even before you put the glass to your lips!
In Maxim's magnificently restored salons, the décor transports guests to the heart of the Belle Époque, enhanced byemblematic works on loan from the Maison Perrier-Jouët, such as Émile Gallé's famous Table Servante, the portrait of Pierre-Nicolas Perrier and otherArt Nouveau treasures. An anthology ofperiod objects, including lamps by Raoul Larche and Albert Cheuret, perfects this atmosphere of another time.
The highlight of the show? An original work by Samantha Kerdine, designed to enhance a Jéroboam Belle Époque 2007: a tribute to nature, so dear to the House's style, with a stele adorned with anemones in bas-relief, which bloom like an echo of the iconic flower engraved on the bottles.
With this ephemeral bar, Perrier-Jouët and Maxim's revive a shared history dating back to 1969, the year of the very first Belle Époque cuvée in the legendary restaurant. Champagne and art lovers, book your Parenthèse Belle Époque - available until the end of December 2024 for an immersive, sparkling experience!
