We're off to 6 rue du Jour in Paris's 1st arrondissement, in the heart of the agnès b. boutique, to discover Le Pain Grillé, its new and first Parisian tea room.

Are you in the Halles district looking for a discreet tea room where you can feel at home? Head to rue du Jour, on the second floor of the agnès b. boutique, to discover its first Parisian tea room. This is not a new concept for agnès b., as there are already agnès.b LPG Cafés abroad, notably in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

But this is the first time the designer has invested in France, and particularly in the capital. The concept?

"Toast is a 'home from home' place.
It's a simple menu, made with local, seasonal produce.
It's a place I simply love!"

With white walls and simple wooden tables, you can relax and enjoy a café croissant, brunch or lunch based on local produce. Indeed, at Le Pain Grillé on Rue du Jour, the bread comes from Boulangerie du Nil, the coffee from Malongo, the salmon and charcuterie from Comptoir de la Gastronomie, the olive oil and wine from Château de Montfrin and the pastries from Maison Stohrer.

We love the plate of breakfast pastries, just toasted and served with hot chocolate or latté.

You'll then be seduced by the scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and gravlax platters, all accompanied by fresh juices from the centrifuge.

Gourmets will be tempted by the pretty à la carte desserts, such as the famous mille-feuille gourmand from Stohrer, a sure bet.

Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
