Manteigaria is an essential stop on any trip to Lisbon or Porto, but since the start of the new school year, you don't have to hop on a low-cost flight to enjoy quality pastéis de nata, as Manteigaria has opened an address in Paris, the House's first store outside Portugal, on the edge of the Marais district.
A benchmark in pastéis de nata, Manteigaria is finally going international after seven locations in Lisbon and two in Porto. Since last September, it has been possible to taste a little piece of Portuguese culture through this cream and egg pastry, which is as sunny and crisp as it is soft and simply unmissable.
Made in the purest tradition before the eyes of gourmets, pastéis de nata de Manteigaria can be eaten cold or warm (even better!), with or without a sprinkling of cinnamon (we're obviously on team cinnamon here!).
These little Portuguese flans are prepared throughout the day, to ensure freshness and quality. But it's also possible to leave with a gift box under your arm!
Pasteis de nata are traditionally served with coffee, but Manteigaria also offers a wide range of refreshing beverages and Portuguese-style coffees to accompany these golden tarts.
Manteigaria is opening a second address, at 123 rue Saint-Lazare in the capital's 8th arrondissement! This new space, just a stone's throw from the Saint-Lazare station , is larger than the Haut-Marais address, and features an enclosed terrace and a tea room on the second floor, where you can enjoy these little marvels on the spot!
