How about a quiet coffee shop on the courtyard, promising books galore? Let's go to the Used Book Café, a vintage tea shop where you feel good and want to sit for hours. And for good reason, the place is a real library from floor to ceiling, enough to delight the philanthropist in us.
Located in front of the building with a part overlooking the inner courtyard where a pretty Fiat Mini can be seen, the Used Book Café reveals a cosy and subdued part and a brighter part, giving access to the Merci concept store.
On the menu, we find fresh fruit juices and hot drinks like lattes, chai, hot chocolates and detox infusions. We were tempted by the special latte of the day made with beet. What to see the life in pink for us this day. You can opt for classic or vegetable versions with an extra 50 cents.
Throughout the day, from 9:30 am to 7 pm, tarts, lemon cakes, tarts tatin, carrot cakes and other crumbles and chocolate fondants open up to us. For lunch, served from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm, we have the right to a soup of the day, boiled eggs, beautiful gourmet salads, a quiche and savory tarts. Note that the menu is home-made and only vegetarian.
Concerning the second hand books, you can find everything, old and new. If you happen to find a book you want to buy or finish, they are on sale from 2€ to 20€.
In the evening, the café becomes a cocktail bar!
