Rue Joseph de Maistre, at the foot of the Butte Montmartre in the 18th arrondissement, welcomes you with a pastel-green façade, stamped "Ernestine Café": it's here that you'll discover a welcoming, family-run neighborhood café and canteen, offering a home-made menu at very affordable prices.

Open since summer 2020, Ernestine Café aims to be the friendly neighborhood café, accessible to all: throughout the day and week, from breakfast to lunch, brunch or snack, from morning to night, the appointment is made at one of the tables of this cozy café.

Created by Julie in 2020, the place has just been taken over by Yannis (who has been working at Ernestine for over two years) this summer, still with the same objective: to offer a friendly address, where people can especially come as a family, with a play area open to children. "Julie lived in the neighborhood and wanted a place where moms could get together, especially with children," explains Yannis. Board games, an early-learning corner for toddlers, a dinette, dolls... The kids' room is open all day long, and this is where the children's workshops take place: from musical awakening to story readings, not forgetting the creative workshops offered every Saturday.

A la carte, the café offers formulas for the whole day, with a menu containing several children's menus (for snacks, brunch...). So it's here that you can sit down for a breeze or an afternoon to feast on homemade pastries and cakes: cookies with huge chocolate chips, Japanese cheesecake as light as a cloud, gourmet financiers, madeleines straight from the oven... In summer, the café also offers homemade ice-cream on a stick or in a scoop, and fresh drinks made on the premises.

For a well-balanced lunch, opt for a brunch formula with a hot or cold drink and a main course, choosing fromavocado toast and soft-boiled egg, quiche of the moment, cheesetoast and salad... For a gourmet break with the kids, opt for a snack with a hot drink and homemade pastries. The menu includes vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Count €9.50 for the breakfast menu (including hot drink, fruit juice, pastry or tartine), €12 for the children's brunch, €27 for the weekend brunch and €14.60 for the weekday brunch.

On weekends, Ernestine Café also privatizes its large room on request, to celebrateyour child's birthday, a christening or any other privatization need. For teleworkers, it's also possible to come to Ernestine for a hot drink and lunch!

A lovely family address, where you can come at any time of the day: the managers are adorable, the portions generous and, above all, really high quality, since everything is homemade. We highly recommend that you stop by Ernestine Café soon!
