The Ritz Paris, founded by Swiss hotelier César Ritz in collaboration with chef Auguste Escoffier in 1898, has played host to Paris and the world, from Marcel Proust and Ernest Hemingway to Coco Chanel, Audrey Hepburn, Maria Callas and Princess Diana. The hotel, considered one of Paris's historic palaces, had never received the official distinction created in 2010.
The renovation of the Ritz will enable it to achieve the palace distinction, as the hotel is determined to preserve the Parisian art de vivre and refinement desired by Caesar Ritz by bringing the hotel into the 21st century withthe latest technologies used in the hotel's 71 rooms and 71 suites, including underfloor heating, and the creation of several terraces on the upper floors.
The Ritz Paris awaits us with 3 restaurants and bars:
L'Espadon, the "Place Vendôme temple of French gastronomy", run by 4-star chef Nicolas Sale. In a setting of wood panelling and crystal, the chef will reinvent the legendary dishes of French gastronomy with a contemporary twist.
The Ritz Bar, a newcomer to the bistronomic sphere, where casual meets chic for moments of sharing over tapas. In the evenings, the Ritz Bar welcomes musicians for a moment of relaxation in the heart of Paris.
The Vendôme bar, located on the patio, offers a cosy atmosphere at lunchtime, summer and winter alike, thanks to a telescopic glass roof.
The Salon Proust, an open-plan salon overlooking the main gallery, will be the perfect place to relax between two meetings, over a cup of tea or an aperitif!
On the hotel side, the new Ritz Paris offers a variety of rooms and suites:
And to top it all off, the 220m² Suite Impériale with its two bedrooms, historic salons overlooking Place Vendôme, six-metre high ceilings, period furniture and antique paintings, for a night in a private palace overlooking Place Vendôme, from €18,000 per night!
The most privileged Parisians can join the Ritz Club and its Chanel wellness area, a nod to Gabrielle Chanel's attraction to the legendary hotel, her second home. Club members have access to a state-of-the-art fitness room, sauna and hammam, as well as to the Chanel space at the Ritz for incomparable treatments in the hotel's sumptuous rooms.
So, will you resist the call of the new Ritz?
