Many people shy away from hotel bars for fear that they're too uptight, too trendy, too expensive, too much of everything. Fortunately, The PlayRoom has opened its doors in Paris to make you forget your preconceptions about hotel bars! The Playroom is the bar at The Playce Hotel by Happy Culture, in the 18th arrondissement, and the atmosphere here is as relaxed as it gets, and above all, unusual.
In the PlayRoom, you'll discover a world of French and international bar games, with no less than 7 (privatizable!) play areas. In addition to famous and essential games such as darts and table soccer, you can enjoy a game of cards, dice or dominoes, or gather around the carrom board, the Indian billiard table. There's no pétanque for fans, but PlayRoom does offer a range of games of skill: Palto (leather shuffleboard) and Cornhole (cornhole)!
Between games, you can toast the day with a selection from local artisans: the beers come from the Goutte d'Or brewery, the Lord of Barbès gin is made with spring water from Square de la Madone, while the cheese comes from Laiterie de Paris and the bread from the baker next door!
In short, forget everything you think about hotel bars, because The PlayRoom is the new place to have fun with friends!
