Mia Mao is the new cathedral-like temple to techno that will open its doors on January 17, 2025 at La Villette. First guest: Laurent Garnier, no less!

3000m2 in a former industrial hall in the heart of the Parc de La Villette, 7-meter high ceilings in the style of a cathedral with a brutalist, industrial look, and a cutting-edge, carefully-curated program... There's no doubt about it: Mia Mao, the monumental temple to techno set to open its doors on January 17, 2025, is sure to delight techno kids and old-timers alike.

The huge main room, all vaulted ceilings and pillars, is equipped with a top-quality sound system, custom lighting installations and a large mezzanine. Best of all, Mia Mao also boasts a large outdoor area for chatting, chilling out or enjoying a drink. Everything has been designed to reduce energy consumption - and therefore environmental impact - to a minimum, from the refurbishment of a pre-existing building to the choice of acoustic, thermal and ventilation insulation.

Solution 63 Hz and, more specifically, David Rousseau, a systems-acoustic engineer and sound engineer who has worked for Concrete, Sacré, La Cigale and Zénith Paris, took charge of the sound system, in compliance with the latest regulations on public health and neighborhood well-being, while guaranteeing optimum sound quality.

For the lighting scenography, Minuit Une, a leading French company specializing in the design of immersive lighting for unique experiences, imagined the entirevisual and sensory ambience of the premises, guaranteeing real immersion within Mia Mao.

An immersion also encouraged by a 'Disconnect to connect' and 'no photo' policy, in the image of Berlin's clubs. It's a way of letting yourself go, while taking full advantage of the artists' performances and the energy of the dancefloor! To this end, stickers will be distributed at the entrances to mask the lenses of the public's mobile phones.

"In recent years, Paris has regained its status as the capital of electronic nightlife, but it still lacked a space capable of rivaling Europe's biggest clubs. Mia Mao fills this gap. An indoor club on an unprecedented scale, designed entirely for electronic culture, where the audience experience is at the heart of every detail. It's the promise of total immersion in music, like the Berlin and London institutions that have redefined the underground scene. Mia Mao now offers Paris the showcase it deserves to establish itself as one of Europe's leading clubbing venues," says Arnaud Perrine, co-founder of Mia Mao.

In addition to the club, Mia Mao is also a label, a web radio that broadcasts continuous sets recorded in the club, and a Youtube channel where you can find sets and interviews with Parisian, Ile-de-France, French and international artists. And speaking of artists, the first names in the Mia Mao line-up have already been announced.

Get ready for a wild start to 2025, with Laurent Garnier opening the club on Friday January 17, 2025 with a 4-hour extended set (midnight to 4 a.m.). In addition, the public will be able to attend three brand-new B2B events, bringing together six leading artists on the electronic scene: Tina Tornade B2B Rrose Sélavy, Koboyo B2B Alys LF and Electric Rescue B2B Manu Le Malin.

Other names you might soon find behind the decks include I Hate Models, Rebeka Warrior, Angerfist, Grace Dahl, Ma Čka, Kilbourne and Blasha & Allatt!
