How about enjoying a nice cruise on the Seine, now that the sun is finally out in the French capital? On May 19 and 25, 2019 as well as on June 23, 2019, Vedettes de Paris invites you to come aboard and enjoy the Impressionist Cruise! The cruise lasts one hour and is open to groups only.
In the 1860’s, Paris has been the theater of meetings of Impressionist painters before the group even takes this name in 1874, as a reference to Monet’s “Impression Rising Sun”. If these landscapes, the Seine riverbanks and the bucolic scenes outside Paris made the fame of these painters, the paintings of Paris they created are still as essential.
For one hour, starting from the Eiffel Tower, you’ll cruise up the river and time with a lecturing guide – available in French and English – to discover Impressionist works about Paris.
