Paris Palais Galliera presents its first retrospective devoted to Gabrielle Chanel for its reopening on October 1, 2020. The “Gabrielle Chanel, manifeste de mode” exhibition pays tribute to the iconic designer from May 19, to July 18, 2021.
The Palais Galliera is known to Parisians as the museum of fashion. And now a monument to French chanson has been added to its 200,000-strong collection: some of Etienne Daho's stage and street outfits have been entrusted to this Parisian cultural institution.
Until July 2018, the huge Belgian fashion designer Martin Margiela is given pride of place at the Palais Galliera. Through the MARGIELA / GALLIERA, 1989-2009 exhibition, the museum of fashion dedicates a retrospective to the designer who has always pushed fashion codes further.
