UGC Normandie, the famous cinema on the Champs-Elysées, is bidding farewell. Before bidding us farewell, the cinema is auctioning off its famous blue seats and soon-to-be iconic objects from an era on Thursday June 13, 2024, in aid of a good cause: the Rêve de Cinéma association, which brings cheer to the hearts of sick children.
After almost a century of screenings, UGC Normandie, the cinema on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, will close its doors on June 13, 2024. This decision marks the end of an era for this iconic cinema, which opened in 1937 and has become a veritable symbol of Parisian film culture.
