Every July 14th, France celebrates its national holiday, the Bastille Day. This high point of the summer is an opportunity to enjoy a festive and convivial holiday, with fireworks to amaze young and old alike, popular balls to dance the night away, and food courts to enjoy with your neighbors!
While the capital boasts the best program, thanks to its traditional military parade and its emblematic fireworks display from the Eiffel Tower, the rest of the region has not said its last word! Every year, the different towns in each département compete with each other to offer fun-filled events for families and friends on July 13 and 14. On the Seine-Saint-Denis side, you can spend the day in the commune of Le Pré-Saint-Gervais, for some exceptional entertainment!
On the eve of Bastille Day, take advantage of the city's proximity to the capital to visit square Edmond-Pépin, from 7.30pm to 11pm.
Before the festivities get underway, why not take a tour of this town, reputed to be the closest to Paris? At the foot of the Romainville hills, this commune lost most of its territory when Les Lilas was created, but this hasn't stopped it from boasting a few places of interest, notably the Léo Lagrange stadium, which hosts numerous popular events throughout the year. The village 's lush green streets and village spirit are perfect for a stroll!
Happy Fête Nationale to all!
