France's Fête Nationale takes place on July 14, a date that commemorates, among other things, the storming of the Bastille, a key event in the French Revolution. Every year, this public holiday is marked by festive traditions: firemen's balls, fireworks (including the one fired from the Eiffel Tower) and theinevitable Military Parade across theChamps-Elysées (exceptionally moved this year).
