Every year, France marks the occasion of July 14th. Not surprising, since it's the country's national holiday! During this public holiday, the four corners of the country come alive to the rhythm of traditional celebrations, including fireworks displays, pyrotechnic shows of all kinds, popular balls, firemen's balls, torchlight processions and other festive events. A summer highlight not to be missed!
In Paris, the festivities include an impressive military parade and an iconic fireworks display from the Eiffel Tower, no less! And while the City of Light is sure to attract plenty of attention, the rest of the region is also in the thick of the festivities! All over the Ile-de-France region, numerous towns and cities unveil a festive program for the Fête Nationale, generally spread over July 13 and 14. For some, it's an opportunity to enjoy the celebrations close to home, while for others it's a chance to discover the treasures of the Paris region.
The Seine-Saint-Denis region is no exception, with a host of events to delight young and old alike. One example is the town of Gagny, which is also taking part in the festivities! If you're in this commune of 93, you can take advantage of the opportunity to stroll along the Dhuis aqueduct or admire the Bois de l'Étoile arboretum!

The Commemoration
As every year, join Monsieur le Maire, elected representatives and patriotic associations for the ceremony on Sunday July 14 at 11:30 a.m. on the esplanade Michel Teulet .
Two dates are actually being commemorated: the storming of the Bastille and the popular uprising of July 14, 1789, and the first Fête de la Fédération, on July 14, 1790.
Whatever the case, July 14 marks the Republic's commitment to human rights and its rejection of all forms of despotism.
Festive evening
A great program awaits you for an evening of music, dance, joy and good humor.Starting at 6.30 p.m. in the Place Foch, you'll be treated to a "guinguette".
