This Friday, July 14, marks the long-awaited Fête nationale. Every year, this event delights young and old alike, with its military parade down the Champs-Elysées, its popular balls and its inevitable fireworks displays across France. In the Île-de-France region, many communes celebrate the Fête Nationale with their own events, on July 13th, July 14th or both.
And the town of Montmorency is no exception to the rule! Every year, the Val d'Oise town celebrates the Bastille Day with a very special program. And yes, it's only here that you can enjoy the traditional Fête du Bœuf, which takes place every year in the town on July 14th.
The celebrations kick off on July 13, 2024, with a torchlight march at 9:15pm, and lanterns distributed free of charge to children, all the way to the Parc des Sports Nelson Mandela, where the fireworks display will take place at 10:45pm. A pyrotechnic and musical spectacle to feast your eyes on, followed by an evening of dancing and dancing the night away to celebrate the Fête Nationale!
But the festive weekend doesn't end there! Join us the following day, from 12pm, for the Fête du Boeuf, this time in the Parc de la Serve. All afternoon long, enjoy delicious beef cooked on a spit, with a gourmet platter of French fries. For dessert, enjoy a cherry cake, all for the price of 6 euros! Lots of musical and gourmet entertainment await you, until 6 p.m.!
