EU’s vaccine rollout condemned. This April 1, 2021, WHO (World Health Organization) director for Europe Hans Kluge called Europe to “speed up the process by ramping up manufacturing, reducing barriers to administering vaccines, and using every single vial we have in stock, now. […] The rollout of these vaccines is unacceptably slow”, he stated, judging the situation in the region being “more worrying than it has been for several months”.
For the record, the United Kingdom is the European country the most ahead in vaccination. 52.5% of the adult population have been given their first dose.
As of April 1, 2021, France vaccinated 12.74% of the population namely 8,535,750 people. The government wishes to improve the vaccination rollout. This Thursday Prime Minister Jean Castex also announced by mid-April, 10 million French would have been vaccinated against Covid-19. According to predictions, 20 million should be by mid-May, and 30 million by mid-June.
