The coronavirus epidemic goes on in France. As the Constitutional Council is to release their report on the vaccine pass this Friday, the government addressed the transformation of the health pass during a conference delivered by Prime Minister Jean Castex and Health minister Olivier Véran this Thursday. Therefore, we have been told, it will come into effect this Monday January 24, 2022.

In France, the fight against the coronavirus epidemic goes on especially with the swift spread of the Omicron variant. Faced with the epidemic resurgence, the executive decided to work and rule for the vaccine pass to replace the health pass. To get the precious door opener, you must prove full vaccine scheme or natural immunity for those who have had Covid-19 at a certain period of time.

After many debates at the National Assembly and the Senate, the Constitutional Council is to deliver their mind this Friday January 21, 2022. The day before this key date, on Thursday January 20, 2022, the executive gathered for a Health Defense Council, followed by a press conference at 7 p.m. by Prime Minister Jean Castex and Health Minister Olivier Véran.

This was the occasion for the government to unveil a first calendar lifting restrictions, and return on the implementation of the vaccine pass. It was said the vaccine pass will come into effect on Monday January 24, 2022, on the condition the Constitutional Council approves it.

Furthermore, the 3rd dose for 12-17 years old will be launched on the 24th as well.

For people getting their first dose, an exceptional vaccine pass will be delivered. For anyone getting vaccinated prior to February 15, the vaccine pass will be given to them even if they lack a complete vaccine scheme, on the condition to get the second dose within 28 days and show a 24-hour-old negative tests.

Last but not least, the Prime Minister said the vaccine pass might be suspended circa July 31 if the situation allows it, and instated again if the situation gets worst once more.
