The fight against the coronavirus epidemic goes on in France. To fit the evolution of the health crisis, the French government has unveiled a calendar lifting restrictions progressively in the country. This schedule has been unveiled this Thursday January 20, 2022, during Jean Castex’s press conference following the health defense council. Three key dates have been shared: January 24 marking the beginning of the vaccine pass in France, as well as February 2 and 16, 2022.
A bit over a week after the implementation of the vaccine pass, February 2nd marks the first step to lift restrictions instated in late 2021. Here is what changes from this day forth:
Starting from February 2, 2022, facemask-wearing is no longer compulsory outdoor: so far, the restriction was extended to city centers. Furthermore, this day also marks the end of gauges during gatherings in public places. Last but not least, work-from-home is no longer compulsory although highly recommended to stay so.
