This summer, the Mona Bismarck American Center became the American Center for Art & Culture. And it's with this new identity that this cultural center takes part in European Heritage Days 2019 in Paris. Willing to show the best of American art, the American Center for Art & Culture unveils a lovely program for September 21 and 22, 2019 in Paris.
On Saturday September 21, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., an art performance expects you. Its name? On Modern Living. Two American artists, Gerard and Kelly, unveil their current project revolving around chapters that - through performances and video clips - invite you to explore what they call the "ruins" of modernism. Hidden choreographies and dramatic social experience invite you to wonder about the world we live in.
But European Heritage Days are also the occasion to discover the Hotel Mona Bismarck that houses the American Center for Art & Culture. Because this neo-classic private mansion built in the late 19th century is a work of art you don't want to miss. Through interactive guided tours, "Look & Learn", you'll walk down the history of American philantropist Mona von Bismarck who founded the American Center for Art & Culture. You'll discover the areas of the hotel fitted by Stéphane Bourdin in the 50's as well as the 400-sqm garden on Sunday September 22, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
