For this new edition of the Journées du Patrimoine 2024, featuring the theme of itineraries, networks and connections as well as maritime heritage, there are plenty of good deals to be had. From Versailles to Dampierre, emblematic and unique sites are opening their doors on Saturday September 21 and Sunday September 22, 2024.
This département of the Paris region is home to some of France's most famous monuments, including the Sun King's residence, the Château de Versailles. But this palace is not the only treasure to be discovered in the Yvelines: there are also several other châteaux and estates, unusual museums, theaters, enchanting gardens, family sites... So it's impossible to get bored in the Yvelines during these Heritage Days!
This year we're celebrating the 41st Heritage Days. Not familiar with this event, which takes place in over 50 European countries? The Journées du Patrimoine is an exceptional open house event, giving us the chance to discover museums, castles , theaters, institutions, historic businesses and religious monuments near us, free of charge. It's a cultural event that takes place on the third weekend in September, and it's always full of surprises!
The program includes guided tours, workshops and other activities that take us into the enchanting world of this great Paris region, to discover the nuggets of our unique heritage.
