Heritage Days 2024: discover the Villa Savoye (78) free of charge

Back-to-school isn't always fun for everyone: back to work, back to school... Fortunately, there's the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days ) to put a smile on our faces! This annual event is always eagerly awaited by the general public: it's a chance for us to discover historic, cultural or official sites, and to enjoy special events.

The aim of this event is to reveal to visitors the monuments and treasures of France's heritage. It's often an opportunity to visit little-known places close to home.

The next edition of the Journées du Patrimoine is scheduled for September 21 and 22, 2024. In the Yvelines region, several sites are taking part, including the Villa Savoye in Poissy. An exceptional work by the famous architect Le Corbusier, the Villa Savoye is a testament to the artist's genius.

During the Journées du Patrimoine, the monument is offering free visits all weekend long. See the detailed program below.

The program for these Journées du Patrimoine 2024 at the Villa Savoye :

• Pop-Up workshop

  Did you know? The Villa Savoye and 16 other Corbusé sites make up an incredible network that has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2016. Scattered around the world, bring them together by creating a pop-up map, brought to life using paper folding, cutting and gluing techniques.

  
  
  
• Take a stroll through one of Le Corbusier's works

  Discover the architectural itinerary imagined and designed by architect Le Corbusier at the Villa Savoye in the early 20th century.
  4 points paroles will be on your tour route so that our agents can answer all your questions.

  
  
  
• Alliance Orchestra concert
  Saturday, September 21, 3:00 pm, 4:00 pm
  

  In the exceptional architectural setting of the Villa Savoye, attend 2 concerts by the Orchestre de l'Alliance in quartet format, featuring violin, viola, violencello and flute. Magical!
  In case of rain, the 2 concerts will take place inside the Villa!

  The Orchestre de l'Alliance des Yvelines invites you to discover various pieces of French neoclassical music and the Romantic repertoire of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
  In the peaceful gardens of the villa, come and listen to a quintet composed of 2 violins, 1 viola, 1 cello and 1 double bass.
