The Journées du Patrimoine return on September 21 and 22, 2024, offering an exceptional opportunity to discover, free of charge, emblematic sites that are often inaccessible to the general public. This not-to-be-missed cultural event celebrates the richness of France's heritage, offering a wide range of guided tours, exhibitions and conferences across the country. Among the treasures to be explored, theEspace Niemeyer, headquarters of the French Communist Party, awaits you for this 2024 edition.
TheEspace Niemeyer, located in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, is an architectural masterpiece designed by the famous Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer. Inaugurated in 1980, this futuristic building with its curved, organic forms perfectly embodies the avant-gardism of its creator, also known for his work on the United Nations headquarters in New York and the city of Brasilia. The building is distinguished by its white dome, a true emblem of modern architecture, and its luminous interior, where volumes unfold with fluidity. A symbol of creativity and daring, theEspace Niemeyer is steeped in history and symbolism.
As well as admiring the work of one of the greatest architects of the 20th century, you'll discover a place where architecture meets the political history of France.
