The program for the Journées du Patrimoine 2024 in Houilles :

Cour de l'école Toussaint Guesdes

  • Côte à Côte: Free Hugs Cie &Co, acrobatic dance
    Saturday, September 21, 5:30 pm, 8:30 pm

Côte à Côte: Free hugs is a duo with a "non-genre" bias, combining contemporary dance, hip hop, circus and physical theater.
Aimed at all audiences, and adapted for young audiences, it is a work of contact, of embracing support, where the invisible links that unite us come to life and materialize to raise questions.
What is the impact of touch on the body and emotions? It plays a vital role at physiological, psychological and emotional levels. What is consent and what is oppression?
In this sometimes absurd story of cuddling, combining tenderness and physicality, the choreographic material is impregnated with this everyday gesture, putting it on stage and exploring all its possibilities. It's a corps à corps where hearts connect side by side for a heart to heart. The energy of a cuddle becomes one of the greatest aids in preventing the two performers from falling or sinking, and provides them with the strength they need to get back on their feet. The bodies embrace, fall, rise, fall again and embrace again, highlighting the fragility that exists when we are deprived of touch. The urgency to live appears. The urgency of needing the other, the dependence on touch. It takes the form of running, jumping, pulling, pushing: the physicality of the bodies is consumed to the point of exhaustion.
In a mixture of surrealist images where the theatricality of the bodies becomes at times absurd, at times sensitive, even acrobatic, without the other, without the strength to be together, nothing can stand upright, and it's the fall: the collapse of the whole story.

  • Seul show - Cie Bakhus
    Saturday, September 21, 6:00 pm, 9:00 pm

A man is searching for something long lost or forgotten.
What if, in order to develop fully, we had to go back in time? At an age when everything is easier, free from personal judgment?
This show reveals the journey from childhood to adulthood, the evolution of our perception of the World and our construction in relation to others.
The project took shape at the Arc En Cirque school in Chambéry, with the main aim of bringing Parkour - the physical activity of moving efficiently using one's own motor skills - to life in a variety of creative environments. The structure on which Nicolas Baurens evolves was built to initiate the movement techniques specific to this discipline, with steel bars similar to classic scaffolding structures.
The construction of the structure was thought out with a practical aim in mind, with dimensions designed according to the size of the artist, with a view to exploiting every part of the cube. As a result, the cube offers a wealth of movement possibilities, particularly in its multi-disciplinary nature. We find acrobatics on the floor, inside and outside the cube, balancing and more gymnastic movements on the top bars, and Chinese mat on the vertical bars. All these disciplines are supported by a soundtrack that accompanies the energy and the state of the body in the different parts of the show.
The show, which lasts 20 min, is aimed at all audiences, thanks in particular to the spectacular nature of the disciplines of parkour and acrobatics, and the universality of the theme, which deals with the part of childhood in each of us.
Cast: Choreography and acting: Nicolas Baurens
Compagnie Bakhus is supported by the City of Cannes, the Department of 06 and the PACA Region

  • Plan B by Camille Geoffrion
    Saturday, September 21, 3:00 pm, 7:00 pm

Plan B is a story about words. Or rather, an adventure in letters. Packed with twists and turns, wordplay and semantic twists and turns, you'll be at a loss for words!
A desk. A book. Some letters. While these are happily humming in the garden, a drama is about to unfold and disrupt the tranquility of this spring Tuesday. Who could have an interest in orchestrating this terrible murder? Where could he be hiding? In a nutshell, Plan B is a story without words or sweet nothings, full of unspoken words, which tells the tale of a murderer's hellish pursuit by a detective who doesn't seem to have said his last word... Abuse of language, lexical attacks, obscure spoonerisms, unforgivable phrasings, Plan B is a veritable linguistic hostage-taking!
Warning, all this is to be taken strictly literally.
Cast: Director: Camille Geoffrion - Acting, puppetry: Camille Geoffrion, Anna Luneau, Florian Miazga - Costumes: Anna Luneau - Advice on foam construction: Pasc ale Blaison - Lighting design: Corentin Praud - Outside view: Cécile Givernet, Vincent Munschoir
