From September 15 to October 7, 2023, the NGO Bibliothèques Sans Frontières is counting on you to drop off your books in good condition, which you no longer read or which are gathering dust in your library, so that they can be used by others and travel around the world. For the 11th time, Fnac isorganizing the "Grande Collecte Solidaire"operation , to give a second life to your books, through its 190 partner stores.
Thanks to your donations, underprivileged populations far removed from culture will be able to benefit from access to reading material. In the space of a decade, more than 2 million books have been sent to people in need - the equivalent of a pile of books as high as 180 Eiffel Towers, making it France's biggest book drive. All types of reading material are welcome, from novels and comics to documentaries and children's books, which are then distributed to schools, associations and libraries involved in solidarity programs.
The NGO also supports thelocal book economy in developing countries, by purchasing books locally.
