Among the treasures to be (re)discovered during the Journées du Patrimoine 2024 is the Musée Fournaise! Nestled on the banks of the Seine in Chatou, in the Yvelines department, this cultural gem plunges us back into the fabulous era of the Impressionists. Founded in 1857, the Fournaise inn was a favorite haunt of legendary painters such as Renoir, Monet and Cézanne. Today, this museum dazzles visitors from all over the world with its colorful collections, retracing the bohemian life of 19th-century artists. Walking through the rooms, you can almost feel the creative effervescence that once reigned here. A not-to-be-missed experience to celebrate the genius of art and culture!
The Musée Fournaise offers a chance to meet the artist on a show trail punctuated by digital animations and videos, set against a backdrop recreated by the décor of the museum's rooms.
