The Impressionist picnic at Chambourcy to relive the "Déjeuner sur l'herbe" (Lunch on the Grass)

Chambourcy's Impressionist Picnic, organized this Sunday, September 8, 2024, invites us to relive the atmosphere of Manet's famous painting, "Déjeuner sur l'Herbe". This free event, proposed by the Office de Tourisme Intercommunal in partnership with the commune of Chambourcy, will be held in the Parc André Derain. To take part in this immersive experience, advance registration is essential.

The event is part of the celebrations marking 150 years of Impressionism in the Yvelines. In addition to this festive picnic, there's plenty of free entertainment on offer in Chatou during the Lumières impressionnistes festival.

Imagine yourself transported for an afternoon to the heart of the 19th century, in the midst of a bucolic landscape where nature and art meet. The Impressionist Picnic plunges you into the happy, relaxed atmosphere of Impressionist paintings.
