The Musée de la Toile de Jouy is a must-see on the fashion itinerary of the Journées du Patrimoine 2024! A veritable nugget of textile history, it was founded in 1977 to celebrate the emblematic printed fabric of the same name, born in the 18th century in Jouy-en-Josas, in the Yvelines region of France. This fabric conquered the world with its poetic universe of rural motifs.

In the heart of a charming château, the museum offers a fascinating insight into the world of printed fabrics, the secrets of their manufacture and the great artists of the time. The collections illustrate the evolution of toile de Jouy through the centuries, creating a priceless heritage!
