In Bois d'Arcy, France, the Centre national du Cinéma et de l'image animée(CNC) is taking part in this event, opening the doors of its Cinematographic Heritage Department. The CNC is the main administration governing French cinema. It not only produces and distributes films, but also safeguards and protects them. A military battery built in 1874, the Bois d'Arcy site has been dedicated to film preservation since the early 1960s. Since 1969, the CNC has been working here to preserve, restore and promote film heritage.
