Discover the history of Parc Montsouris during the Journées du Patrimoine 2024! Join us on September 21 and 22 for free guided tours.

Located on the left bank of Paris, in the 14th arrondissement, Parc Montsouris is one of the best-known and most popular green spaces for Parisians in search of greenery. With its century-old trees, vast lawns, lake, playgrounds and sports areas, you'd think you'd know every inch of this park by now... Then let us surprise you!

On September 21 and 22, 2024, to mark the 41st Journées du Patrimoine, Parc Montsouris is inviting curious visitors and strollers to take part in special guided tours (registration required), entirely free of charge! Take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about this green setting created at the end of the 19th century, which has seen many episodes in the history of France and Paris...

Discover, learn and admire - that's the whole point of the Journées du Patrimoine, a European cultural event held every September. This major event gives us the chance to visit places that tell the story of a town or region, and to appreciate all the heritage treasures that are close to home, sometimes without us even knowing it.

On the program for these Heritage Days at Parc Montsouris:

  • Parc Montsouris, historical walk
Come and discover one of the most emblematic parks of the Second Empire, follow in the footsteps of Adolphe Alphand, the "father" of Parisian public gardens, find out why this was one of Paris's greatest scientific centers, the only station garden in Paris, and admire its remarkable statues around which the ghost of the Palais du Bardo still hovers...
    Saturday September 21st : 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
    Sunday September 22: 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
