Good news for lovers of French heritage, as the famous Journées du Patrimoine return to Paris and the Île-de-France region this autumn. For two days, on Saturday September 21 and Sunday September 22, 2024, Parisians and Ile-de-France residents are invited to push open the doors of mythical, sometimes hidden, unusual or still little-known monuments, to experience a wild plunge into our very rich heritage.

For the Journées du Patrimoine 2024 in Paris, it was hard to miss theArc de Triomphe. Immerse yourself in history by visiting the Arc de Triomphe during the European Heritage Days! Discover its architecture and sculptures free of charge, and take advantage of self-guided tours, guided tours and exciting family activities to explore this emblematic monument.
Our mediators will guide you through discovery tours until 5pm, on the forecourt and inside the monument, without the need for a reservation, in French and English. These thirty-minute tours will cover the following themes: an introduction to the history of the Arc de Triomphe, architecture and iconography, and Paris and its monuments. Tours depart every thirty minutes, from 10am to 1pm and from 2pm to 5pm.
A dedicated area for families will offer creative activities and games for a unique experience on the heights of the capital. On the program: collage, model making, construction games, poetry...
