If you'd like to take advantage of the program close to home , or to find out more about the treasures of the Ile-de-France departments, this time we're taking you to Milly-la-Forêt, in theEssonne region, to push open the doors of the Maison de Jean Cocteau, the famous French artist, filmmaker and writer.
It was in this home-museum that the playwright wrote most of his work. Listed as a Monument Historique in 1969, the 17th-century Maison du Bailli, built in the Louis XIII style, extends over 2 hectares, including gardens, a vergé and a wooded park.
Like a suspended moment, the Bar à Lectures is a unique opportunity for a tête-à-tête around a text and the discovery of Jean Cocteau. A simple set-up: 3 actors and 3 tables where you can sit alone, as a couple, or with your children, for the time of a story. As in a bar or restaurant, you can choose your menu. To fully immerse yourself in the story, the actors suggest listening to the reading with headphones, leaving the listener free to listen.
