Stamps, road maps , letter carriers' uniforms... A true immersion in the world of La Poste through the ages! As part of the Journées du Patrimoine 2024 (Heritage Days 2024), the Musée de la Poste awaits curious visitors of all ages on the weekend of September 21 and 22, with a jam-packed program. Shall we tell you all about it?

The 2024 Heritage Days program at the Musée de la Poste :

  • Flash guided tours
    Saturday, September 21, 2:00 p.m.

From 2pm to 6pm, visitors can take part in express guided tours based on the Heritage Days theme: "Itineraries, networks and connections".
These tours will alternate every 30 minutes between the temporary exhibition Marathon, the Messenger's Run and the museum's permanent collections.
Each session will cover a variety of topics, including the letter carrier's round, communication networks in France and emblematic figures such as the letter carrier Cheval. After each visit, there will be time for discussion with the cultural mediators.

  • Graine de philosophes - What's the point of running?
    Saturday, September 21, 2:30 p.m.

Learning to philosophize means learning to think for yourself, developing a critical mind and complex thinking.
Accompanied by a mediator specially trained to lead philosophical workshops, the group discovers the temporary exhibition Marathon, the messenger's race.
The group questions itself on the subject of sport and running, the body, physical effort and surpassing oneself. To accompany this reflection, participants are invited to take part in body expression and drawing activities.

  • Immersion reading
    Saturday, September 21, 4:00 p.m.

Discover the exhibition Marathon, la course du messager by letting yourself be carried away by the voice and prose of poet Emmanuel Tibloux, who will read two of his texts within the exhibition.
Emmanuel Tibloux, Director of ENSAD (Ecole Nationale Supérieur des Arts Décoratifs), will offer an immersive reading of two of his texts, directly at the heart of the exhibition Marathon, la course du messager.
This reading will immerse visitors in a sensory experience that will enable them to fully feel the resonance between literature, art and the history of sport.
    -----------------
Director of the École des Arts Décoratifs, Emmanuel Tibloux has also been active in writing and publishing for many years. A regular contributor to the AOC media and co-director of the Icônes collection at Les Pérégrines, he has published several poems in the Digraphe, Le Nouveau Recueil and, more recently, Cockpit magazines.

  • Introduction to comics
    Sunday, September 22, 2:00 p.m.

Open to all, this workshop, led by Ateliers d'Artistes, will introduce participants to the comic strip through the theme of the messenger.
They will be accompanied by Victor, illustrator and graphic designer, who will share his secrets for creating a work that reflects the creativity of each participant.
All you need for this workshop? Your imagination!

Fancy a trip to the Musée de la Poste? Here's an unusual outing for the whole family!
