Presentation of the model of Mont-Dauphin (18th century) by pupils from the Emile-Roux 2 school in Soisy-Sous-Montmorency.
A copy of the model of the fortified town of Mont-Dauphin was produced by CM1/CM2 classes from the Emile Roux 2 school in Soisy-sous-Montmorency. Accompanied by the Musée des Plans-Reliefs, the pupils practiced period manufacturing techniques to reproduce the landscape and relief. The buildings and fortifications were created by the students during their school trip to the town of Mont-Dauphin, with the help of the site's teaching staff.
The model was used as part of the set for the end-of-year show "The fruit of the king", staged, written and performed by the students.
The town of Mont-Dauphin is one of the nine towns created ex-nihilo by Vauban. It is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
