Paris: Marcel Campion goes out of the Christmas market

Thursday September 27, 2018 – in Paris, Marcel Campion announces his retirement from his fairground activities (including the Christmas market) as well as the notice of sale of his Ferris wheel.

Is Marcel Campion withdrawing? The one nicknamed the Kind of Carnies has announced this Thursday September 27, 2018 in a press release that he was stopping his fairground business.

After the broadcasting of a controversial video of Marcel Campion, the project for the Christmas market at the Tuileries was left unresolved. Paris Authorities also called the government to return on this agreement. In the press release announcing his retirement, Marcel Campion says it’s for the following reason: “In order to not hurt my family or my fairground business, I have decided to retire from my personal fairground activities and quit my activities within the Association du Monde Festif organizing the event ‘La Magie de Noël’ at the Tuileries for the Holidays”.

Marcel Campion also announces the notice of sale of the Paris Ferris wheel that used to rule on the Place de la Concorde until 2017. The withdrawal of this attraction was the subject of a power struggle with the Paris Authorities, as well as the Champs Elysées Christmas market.
