This was some news shared by RTL. On October 4, 2020 for Le Grand Jury RTL-LCI-Le Figaro show, Anne Hidalgo confirmed a reception center for refugees was to open soon in the city center of Paris.

Tweet reads: “We will settle the humanitarian stop open for years at Porte de la Chapelle in the former 1st arrondissement town hall. Paris will keep on being a refuge city”.
More specifically, it will take place in the premises of the former 1st arrondissement town hall in Paris, by the Louvre. This center for refugees is said to receive 100 to 200 refugees and allow hem to shower, have access to care and start administrative actions to get their residence permits in the country.
“This is the right place to do it” Anne Hidalgo said on Sunday on Le Grand Jury. The socialist mayor also said the 1st arrondissement town hall has “always been very open to receiving homeless people and refugees”.
As RTL already said, this new center will replace the former “humanitarian stop” of the Docks des Alcools based in Paris 18th arrondissement across the Porte de la Chapelle.
