The coronavirus epidemic has led to a wind of solidarity in France towards workers on the front line fighting against the pandemic. They have had to work in very difficult conditions, also risking to be exposed to the virus. And among them, foreign workers have also had to face the epidemic on the front line.
This past September, minister delegate to Citizenship Marlène Schiappa insisted to enable foreign people to be able to become naturalized easier, enjoying the notion of “major service rendered”. It enables to lower between 2 to 5 years the necessity stay-length on the French territory before being able to apply for French citizenship.
