The French government met this Wednesday September 22, 2021 for a Defense Council to address easing some restrictions. Health pass, school health protocol, and gauges, here is more on the statements made by government spokesman Gabriel Attal.

Not all departments in France are equal to coronavirus. This is a fact. Many factors influence the evolution of the Covid-19 epidemic in the different regions of the country, explaining this inequality. So, as the health situation is improving in France, the government is about to pass new local measures. Consequently, the executive met this Wednesday September 22, 2021 for a Health Defense Council. It has been followed by a report at a press bried delivered by government spokesman Gabriel Attal.

Although easing the health pass is said to have been addressed, the application of this easing measure is not to occur now. Yet, Attal added president Emmanuel Macron has asked for criteria to be specified to adapt the health pass to the incidence rate and the vaccination cover rate in areas involved.

But, Gabriel Attal has announced facemask-wearing is to no longer be compulsory from October 4 in schools set in the departments where the incidence rate is below 50 cases for 100,000 inhabitants. Another easing measure announced: the end of gauges in places open to the public set in these very departments.
