Every year in August, Paris celebrates its Liberation. This August 25, 2022, the city commemorates the 78th anniversary of its Liberation, in 1944. A historic event a lot of us only saw in video or picture. So, the Paris City Hall encourages all Parisians to gather on places of commemoration in memory of the first members of the Resistance, like the Musée de la Libération.

On August 24 and 25, 2022, the City of Paris is also to celebrate this anniversary with traditional ceremonies. On the menu? Stories, a speech delivered by Anne Hidalgo, and the inauguration of an exhibition are expected on Wednesday at the Jardin des Combattants de la Nueve. On Thursday, you are all expected on the parvis of the Hotel de Ville to discover the ceremonial drill, tributes to the dead and reading of texts.
