Will there soon be a new metro line in the Grand Paris Express project? With the existing problems and the numerous delays on the lines in preparation, nothing is less sure! While some lines are being extended at the moment, such as line 14 to Orly, metro 19 would allow to serve the Val-d'Oise department, one of the only ones that has no advantage to the lines imagined so far. The latter would make it possible to reach Argenteuil, Nanterre and Saint-Denis within the next twenty years.

Valérie Pécresse has announced that she will take up this project, which has so far been carried by the Val-d'Oise departmental council. For many shopkeepers and residents, this line would be a real godsend, as the cities would then become more economically attractive. They would also be able to travel more easily than today, without having to go through the capital. A complement to the Transilien line J.
But it's not going to happen right away! It is not scheduled to be put into service until 2040, so we will have to be very patient. Before then, only line 17 will serve Gonesse station, in the Val-d'Oise.
Line 18: discover the design of the future metro trains between Orly and Versailles
Scheduled for 2026, line 18 of the Grand Paris Express will link Orly airport and Versailles-Chantiers, via Massy and the Saclay plateau. The design envisaged for the interior of the trains has just been unveiled. [Read more]
