At last, there's a week dedicated to man's best friend! From October 1 to 8, 2023, the Centrale Canine is inaugurating the first edition of National Dog Week in Paris, the Ile-de-France region and throughout France. Since 1881, the Centrale Canine has been responsible for promoting the role of the dog in French society, and is the keeper of the Livre des Origines Français(LOF), the only official register recognized by the French Ministry of Agriculture to certify the pedigree of pedigree dogs and issue pedigrees.
To celebrate our beloved pooches in style, some twenty events are being organized in Paris and the Ile-de-France region from October 1 to 8, to promote the dog 's beneficial role and skills in society, inform future owners and mistresses to encourage responsible adoptions, and showcase the many activities you can enjoy with your dog.
The program includes open days, animal welfare events, 100% dog days, yoga with dogs, canicross, a festival, and many other events organized by education and use clubs affiliated to the Centrale Canine, local dog associations, and private and public structures such as the municipal police.
Among the many events, let's mention the open day of the Centrale Canine's media library and museum in Aubervilliers, the 100% canine day in Blanc-Mesnil and Crécy La Chapelle with animations and demonstrations, a Festidog in Puteaux, a canine walk in Dugny, or the Fête de l'animal en ville in Paris. Discover the full program on the Semaine Nationale du Chien 2023 website.
A new event that's sure to bring all dog lovers together!
