Teachers' anger continues unabated. After several mobilizations on February 1 and 6 and March 19, how many teachers will be out on the streets this Tuesday? For the time being, the question remains unanswered. But the teachers' unions are once again calling for mobilization on April 2, 2024.
" For months now, staff have been mobilizing against grade groups. Strikes on February 1 and 6, local actions, voting against at the CSE, public meetings with parents, operation collèges morts... our organizations have been driving a campaign that is moving the lines," explains the intersyndicale (SNES-FSU, SNEP-FSU, FNEC FP FO, CGT Educ' action and Sud éducation) in a press release published on March 26. While the teachers' unions believe that the government is now feverish, they add: " This feverishness shows that our action is not without effect: it is now that we must amplify the mobilization to win!
The inter-union group is therefore calling for the mobilization to be " amplified " during a new national strike scheduled for April 2, 2024, for " the abandonment of the 'Choc des savoirs' measures, and to demand a pay rise without compensation ". In France, all demonstrations scheduled for this Tuesday are listed on a map accessible here.
In Paris, a demonstration is scheduled to start at 2pm from the Luxembourg RER station, just outside the Luxembourg Gardens. The march is scheduled to reach the Ministry of Education on rue de Grenelle, in the 7th arrondissement. Demonstrators will once again be pounding the pavement in the center of the capital, and more specifically in the 6th and 7th arrondissements.
