Can we expect a major mobilization and a Black Thursday on public transport on April 4? It's still too early to say, but the CGT-RATP is calling a strike for Thursday April 4, 2024.
" The NAO (Compulsory Annual Negotiation, editor's note) 2024 has not "yet" taken place at RATP! " the union launches on Facebook, before continuing: " Faced with the posture of General Management, the CGT-RATP calls on employees of all categories and in all departments to mobilize on Thursday, April 4, 2024, through the strike that will be covered by our current notice period." The CGT-RATP is also calling on employees to gather " massively " in front of the company's head office on April 4 at 10:30 am.
It now remains to be seen whether or not this strike call will be heeded, and whether there will be major disruptions on the Paris metro, as well as on RER lines A and B (operated by RATP), and on streetcar and bus networks. Stay tuned for more information and traffic forecasts, which should be released 24 to 48 hours before the strike begins.
