Sunday June 23, 2024 was finally a summer's day in Paris and the Île-de-France region. After many weeks of waiting, the region enjoyed sunny weather and seasonal temperatures. It was over 24°C in the capital at 6pm. However, according to forecasts from Météo-France, this fine weather may not last, with the return of rain and a significant drop in temperatures. Nearly 10°C could be lost overnight.
The sun should continue to shine in the Île-de-France region until Wednesday, making for a pleasant start to the week. On Monday, temperatures will continue to rise, reaching 27°C in Paris. Tuesday should also be sunny, with temperatures climbing to 29°C in the capital, and even higher elsewhere.
Wednesday is set to be the hottest day on record, with temperatures locally exceeding 31°C. So get out your hat and sunscreen, and head for the terrace!
Thursday should still be partly sunny, but from Friday morning onwards, a deterioration is expected, with rain forecast by Météo-France. The following weekend will see cooler temperatures, falling to around 22°C instead of 30°C, but the sun could still make a few appearances.
According to La Chaîne Météo, this sharp drop in temperatures in the Paris region, with a drop of around 10°C, should mark the end of this summer sequence. Although temperatures will be lower, the fine weather will not be totally absent, with the sun still partly shining.
