It was during a stroll on the Île Saint-Louis, in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, that a shopkeeper - displaying the flyer for the election of the new flag - explained the existence of this emblem specific to the Île Saint-Louis. Indeed, for the very first time, the Île Saint-Louis will be recognized under its own flag, which local residents, Parisians and other onlookers can choose until October 25, 2024.
During this operation, led by the young fashion brand Komorebi, which specializes in printing flags on t-shirts, the general public will be spoilt for choice between six models, recalling the island's fluvial history. After dressing Nepal's Olympic and Paralympic delegation at the Paris 2024 Games, Komorebi is now offering those who wish to come and submit their vote concerning the future flag of the Île Saint-Louis at its boutique, also located on the island.
In order to vote for the model of your choice, you'll need to go to 43 rue Saint-Louis-en-l' Île in person - just like an official vote after all - and choose which of the six eligible models you'd like to see representing one of Paris' most famous islands. Hurry up, you've only got a few days left!
