A day and evening dedicated to science... To mark Nuit des Musées (Museum Night), the Musée Curie invites curious visitors to enjoy a variety of free events on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Located in Marie Curie's former living quarters, on the very spot where she studied and taught radioactivity over a century ago, the museum is offering a number of educational tours and family-friendly activities.
A leading figure in French and international science, Marie Curie and her husband Pierre are famous for their research into radiation. Marie Curie was awarded two Nobel Prizes: one in physics (1903), which she received with her husband, and the other in chemistry (1911). As a tribute to her achievements and exceptional work, Marie Curie (and her husband Pierre) is now buried in the Panthéon.
