It's a not-to-be-missed event, eagerly awaited by many music lovers. Described as a popular and festive event, every year the Fête de la Musique gives music lovers the chance to attend free concerts by artists. Every June 21, amateur and professional musicians take to the streets, as well as bars and restaurants, museums, churches, parks and gardens, to bring live music to life for a unique day and evening.
Rock, jazz, hip-hop, French variety and electro are often in the spotlight, but so is classical music! For this Fête de la Musique 2024, to be experienced on Friday June 21, Viva l'Orchestra offers a new free symphonic concert featuring some 125 musicians at the Maison de la Radio et de la Musique.
This year marks the tenth edition of Viva l'Orchestra! Every June 21, theOrchestre National de France's major participatory and educational project brings together amateurs and professionals to play together. At the end of a year of rehearsals, a public performance is given at the Auditorium de Radio France by this orchestra of great amateurs under the guidance of musicians from the Orchestre National de France. And this year, Cristian Măcelaru is once again conducting this ambitious concert.
Join us on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 8pm at theAuditorium de Radio France, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, to discover the new edition of Viva l'Orchestra with its 125 musicians! Please note that reservations (free of charge) for this event will open to the public in May.
Here's a great opportunity to reconnect with classical music for the Fête de la Musique 2024 and support this lovely project at the same time!
