Museums usually feature paintings, sculptures, photographs, installations and objets d'art... And sometimes, singers and musicians. Especially when the Fête de la Musique returns to keep us dancing all night long.
This Friday, June 21, 2024, Paris transforms itself into a giant concert hall, and invites us to celebrate this new edition of the Fête de la Musique. For more than 40 years, music has resounded throughout France, from morning till night, during this festive and popular day, which honors classical music as much as jazz, rap, rock or island music.
Artists set up shop in every corner of the capital to share their music with us, and many museums take part in the festivities. This is particularly true of the Musée Marmottan Monet, located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. On the evening of June 21, the museum is opening its doors to us free of charge for a unique musical experience.
