Nuit Blanche is set to be a colorful affair! To celebrate the 20th anniversary of this Parisian cultural event, the Théâtre du Châtelet invites the curious to come and discover several shows by Cabaret New Burlesque on Saturday evening, October 1, 2022. Funny, generous and festive, the American troupe, reformed by Kitty Hartl for the occasion, returns to the capital to amaze Parisians, Ile-de-France residents and visiting tourists with a program in keeping with the theme of this 20th anniversary, the "Garden of Delights".
And the artists have more than enough delights to go around! So, throughout the evening, they'll be offering a number of striptease performances, "adiscipline as sparkling as it is committed". In all, five "creatures", all with evocative names (Julie Atlas Muz, Mimi Le Meaux, Dirty Martini, Kitten of the Keys and Roky Roulette), will be "flirting with the forbidden, but always with great elegance", through "a sequence of numbers punctuated by the mistress of ceremony Kitten on the Keys", as well as "songs, humor and glamour".
A troupe you may well be familiar with... And with good reason: they are known the world over thanks to a film by Mathieu Amalric, Tournée, released in 2010 and presented at the Cannes Film Festival the same year. These artists have succeeded in bringing the art of stripping up to date and rediscovering it throughout Europe and beyond. Shall we head off to the Théâtre du Châtelet for Nuit Blanche, folks?
